25 January 2019 This morning I tied sewing my thermos clothing. And around noon I went with Miklós to the north of Budapest to collect my packages that I was trying to recieve. It was about half an hour drive, when we were at the given address there was no sign of the delivery company (Express one). We turned on the GPS and it said that we were 800 meters away. We drove to a barrack and went inside, there…
24 January 2019 I went to Margitsziget island in the Donau and walked around. Then I went to the supermarket to do shopping, because I was planning to cook for Miklós as a thanks for letting me stay with him. I mad potatoes out of the oven and chicken and peas. I was expecting two packages and they should go to the post office, but the delivering company said the address was wrong. It was not, because I already had…
23 January 2019 Budapest Hospital in the Rock Today Miklós took me to the castle district where we visited a hospital that was built in caves. This Was built in the first part of the 20th Century and used during the war and the revolution in the communist time. The hospital existed of two parts; one where patients were treated and one where the machinery for ventilation and stuff like that was and a nuclear bomb Shelter. This Place was…
22 January 2019 Budapest the National museum with János I took the subway to Budapest and walked to the museum. The Museum square is under construction and when I wanted to go to the main entrance, I was stopped by construction workers who said that I could not pass so I went to the side entrance but there I was sent back to the front. Now the workers did let me through. I was early and had to wait until…
Budapest 20 January 2019 It was a quiet day. I did my laundry, wrote on my blog and together with Miklós I went to the supermarket. This is the view from the window of the room I was staying in. 21 January 2019 Today I did a lot of practical stuff. I went to the outdoors shop to get a new sit mat( I lost mine somewhere in Slowakia on the Donau dyke), warm socks & reusable foot warmers. Then…
19 January 2019 Solymár – Budapest After breakfast Marton joined me and was super kind to carry my backpack for a few kilometres. I felt so light footed. Here we passed by the sign of Solymár. The middle row should be the old Hungarian alphabet. After a few kilometres we took a bus, because I wanted to catch a steam train that is operated by children. Marton even bought a ticket for me from a kid that was behind the…
18 January 2019 Piliscsaba – Solymár I woke up with children playing or something like that. In my room there was a small electric heater so my room was warm but the rest of the house wasn’t and when I went into the living room Gergo was making fire in the fire place and after that in the central heating, which also works on wood. No matter where I am those kind (technical) of things keep me fascinated. After breakfast…
17 January 2019 Pilisszentlélek – Piliscsaba The daughter who is studying Korean culture came to bring me breakfast and said that if there was something I could knock at the door. I ate my breakfast and then I was ready to go, so I turned off the electricity and gas and wanted to bring back the tray from breakfast but no one opened. It was Awkward, we hadn’t discussed a price or if I could stay for free so I…
16 January 2019 Esztergom – Pilisszentlélek From now I can add a map with the route I took. I am totally happy that this works now. I have to give Pijke, a friend of mine, credit for it. Today is also the day that I started to honour my favicon, but more about that later. For people who don’t know what a favicon is. It is the little icon that you see on top of my site. Here you see…
