Today I left Nijmegen and the Netherlands. I crossed the Pieterpad trail I walked earlier this year, which brings back good memories. And that reminded me of all the lovely people that I left behind. Velp – Elst Today was the first walking day. It was quite a big change leaving my home where I lived for over seven years and trade it for a totally different one. I started in Velp and walked to Elst and I had a stop in Arnhem. There I sad goodbye to my Labrador Eva and my mom. In Elst I put up my tent at a camping and had a good night sleep.
This week was a strange week. I went to the outdoor shop to collect the last pieces of my gear. It was a strange feeling to realise I am really going to make my journey. I still have to figure out a lot of things. details of the route and papers for the embassies but I think I will manage with some help.
