Kalkar  – Vynen (Xanten)

Today it is the Day of German Unity (German: Tag der Deutschen Einheit). When I started walking I saw a marten on the road. Unfortunately for the Marten there was no unity for him. Wen I left Kalkar I passed by a goos farm, fields full of them. The smell was pungent and strong.

As I continued my journey the road let into a forest, onto a hollow road with step sloop.

This went on for a while and let me to a asfalt road

When I was following the asfalt road, the route suddenly turned left on a very narrow trail and ended at a weg small chapel with a religious figuur there were benches, so I boiled some water and made hot chocolate.

 

Later the day I stopped to toke a snack at a water pump, a cat came to me.  This is her:

 

 

In Vynen I couchsurfed at a family. A couple with three kids. I was welcomed with dinner: smasst patato und worst. The kids were interested in my travel plans and stories.
