Day 109 Moča – Štúrovo
13 January 2019
Moča – Štúrovo
My blister was still not gone it had become one big one instead of two smaller ones, luckily the one on my other foot was gone. Emi offered to give me a ride and she drove me to Mužla to the sultans trail. There I said goodbye.
This is Emi.
The road led over this unpaved road with friendly horses.
But then the route led straight into the farmland, so the only thing I could do was walk around and then I still had to walk along a federal road. But not for too long.
Here I left the federal road.
There were so many tracks of animals it must be crowded here at night (or day), but it was empty when I passed by.
An old church, but it did not look good more. Like it was falling apart.
In the distance you see a building with a green(coper) roof and, that’s where I’m heading. The view is absolutely amazing, as is the weather.
On the right there is the Donau and left is the mountains of Slowakia.
In the distance you see also a chimney of a power plant or I thought. later I learned that it was an paper factory.
Dilapidated houses.
I took a closer look (inside).
It was one big mess.
This one was not any different but it did gave a good view.
I thought it was all abandoned, but in this house there was light and smoke came out of the chimney.
Maybe it are some remains of the communistic era.
The road let over this railroad crossing. The tracks where heading to the factory.
Then the route led straight into the fields whit a lot of snow.
The sun set and just after twilight I arrived in Štúrovo.
