Day 59 Altenmarkt – Waginger am see

Altenmarkt – Waginger am see
When I was packing my tent, an elderly couple came by with their Labrador. We had a small conversation about my journey and then the men gave me €4 to get a warm cup of chocolate from the bakery. It made me very happy!
This is an image of the area.
When I arrived at the bakery it was just closing (10.30) because it was Sunday, but they sad in the next village the bakery was open the whole day.
After a good cup of chocolate I came through this township. It was a collection of farms, piles of building materials, stacks of firewood and some animals. Pretty desolate.
Later I passed by a geothermal installation.
I walked on and later I was getting a ride of a mother and her son (Mite and Felix) they drove me all the way to Waging. Then I asked where the Wagerteg see was and she gave me a tour. Super friendly.
I stayed with Fritz and his family. They were amazingly generous and I feel grateful that I could stay with them.
I had two big private rooms and my own bathroom. With a cute bathtub.
Their kids were lovely. One by one they came by, the first one gave me a mug for tea, the second brought me the Wifi password and the third came for my laundry.
Fritz gave me knödel, that is an potato thing, it tasted good.
After I took a shower we had an interesting conversation about traveling and lots of other stuff while the children baked cookies.
Fritz grabbed maps to plan my route for the next day and gave a few very useful tips.
