Day 105 Ňárad – Čičov
9 January 2019
Ňárad – Čičov
I left the warmth of the pension, followed the road back to the Donau and resumed my way on the dyk.
The weather was much better than yesterday evening. Some small clouds and the sun was shining.
I took a small breakfast and just seat down on the road on my sit mat so I wouldn’t have a wet but afterwards. But unfortunately my trousers ended up being wet anyway because I sat not straight on it.
I ate the cookies that Boris had given me.
When I was walking on I ate the chocolate umbrella that I still had from Haslau an der Donau.
I constantly had to pass this type of gates:
Here is an old chimney, probably from a stone factory:
Then I walked on a part on the Donau dyk where there was only unpaved road and no snow had been cleared there.
The twilight was Kicking in and the next village was still a few kilometers away. My shoulders were hurting because of my (extra) heavy bag. So I decided to make camp.
When my tent was up, I started making food. But as I did not have much water left, I collected (clean) snow and melted it for drinking water and for cooking. I made pasta and a smoke Sausage that my mother had sent me. It was good because I had food and my backpack would be lighter the next day.
When I was done cooking, I went in my tent and watched the movie Baby driver.
