Štúrovo – Esztergom

This was an easy day. It was just 4 km. After breakfast David drove me around Štúrovo and showed me almost the whole town.

Here we see an interinsting water construction. You can close the wall and make it a bit higer so the town won’t be flooded.

Then it was time to cross the border bridge.

This is my bordercrossing song selected by Nathalie. It is somehow fitting because I do countries one by one.

The church that I saw when I was walking to Štúrovo was actually in Esztergom but I didn’t know that then. Here you see the church from the front side.

On arrival by Gabriella I was welcomed warmly. She lives together with her partner and lovely pets. One of the cats claimed my lap for half of the evening. She cooked nice chicken and especially potatoes because I come out of the Netherlands and I really appreciated that she kept this in mind 🙂
After dinner we went for a walk with the dogs and she pointed out from the hill where places where. She also told me where I needed to go to get a good Hungarian dessert (toetje).
